Real Madrid Manager Carlo Ancelotti’s Future in Question
Carlo Ancelotti has been a successful manager throughout his career, winning trophies at some of the biggest clubs in Europe. However, his future at Real Madrid is now in question after the team’s disappointing Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester City.
Ancelotti was brought in to Madrid in 2021 with the task of winning the Champions League, which the club had not won since 2018. He succeeded in doing so in his first season in charge, but the team has struggled this season.
Madrid have won the Copa Del Rey title, but they have been inconsistent in the Champions League and La Liga. They were knocked out in the semi final stage this season and lost the league in very bad manner vs FC Barcelona.
Ancelotti’s contract at Madrid expires at the end of the next season. It is unclear whether he will be offered a new deal. The club’s president, Florentino Perez, is known to be a fan of Ancelotti, but he may be tempted to make a change if the opportunities presented allow to do so.
