Jeffrey, “Jeff” “JB” Michael Borrin, 39, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, at his home.  He was born April 21, 1982, in Joliet, Ill., son of Sheri (Giordano) Borrin and Carl Borrin of Rehoboth Beach.

Jeff grew up in Ridgewood, N.J., graduating from Ridgewood High School in 2000.  He spent two years at Curry College in Milton, Mass., and then discovered his passion for electrical work.  Jeff completed the four-year NCCER electrician training while apprenticing with Apple Electrical Co., Rehoboth Beach. He loved his work and earned a limited master electrician license.  Jeff then formed his own company, JB Electrical LLC.  He was also a certified PADI scuba diver and was a voracious reader.

Jeff had a huge heart for people and animals.  He touched so many with his own extraordinary life.  His humor, kindness, compassion, and thoughtful heart will truly be missed.  We thank God for the gift of his presence for 39 years.  Jeff rescued Lily, his pitbull, when she was a puppy, and they saved each other.

Along with Jeff’s parents, he is survived by his son, Damien Barbarulo of Tom’s River, N.J.; his fiancée, Arielle Leach of Rehoboth Beach, and her son, James McFarland; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, at noon, at Dewey Beach Lions Club, 115 McKinley Ave., Dewey Beach. Lunch to follow. Burial will be private. Mask wearing is required and social distancing must be observed by all service attendees and participants.

Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, please remember Jeff by donating to the Delaware Humane Association, delawarehumane.org, your local animal shelter, a scholarship that has been established by the alumnae of Alpha Chi Omega, or Coastal Georgetown Branch of the American Association of University Women, georgetown-de.aauw.net, in Jeff’s name, for a Sussex County woman who is planning to continue her education in the trades.
