Water Technology award DuPont Water Solutions
WILMINGTON – DuPont Water Solutions was recognized as the Water Technology Company of the Year for developing sustainable solutions to the most pressing global water concerns presented at the Global Water Awards.
In addition to winning this prize, DuPont was acknowledged for making a substantial contribution to the winning Water Project of the Year award—the Jiaxing Drinking Water Upgrade Project in China. DuPont’s FilmTecTM nanofiltration membranes were used in the largest nanofiltration (NF) drinking water plant in the world to remove pollutants from municipal drinking water sources, enabling access to a new raw water source, enhancing Jiaxing’s water security, and providing a fresh approach to China’s expanding population’s water needs.

DuPont’s inventive technologies enable clients to achieve their objectives for water stewardship, circularity and waste reduction, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction by purifying, conserving, and reusing the toughest to treat water, from wastewater to ultrapure water. For instance, DuPont’s FilmTecTM Prime RO is a new line of reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for industrial applications that offers its clients sustainable solutions. Prime RO elements can improve permeate quality by up to 60% while using up to 20% less energy. More than 50 million gallons of water are purified every minute by DuPont’s water technologies, which also enable desalination, reuse, and safe access to both ground and surface water. DuPont offers solutions to a variety of water and sustainability challenges faced by industrial water users and water treatment municipalities through a broad portfolio of membranes, resins and systems (including reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, ion exchange resins (IEX), ultrafiltration (UF), electrodeionization (EDI), nanofiltration (NF), membrane bioreactor systems (MBR), membrane aerated biofilm reactors (MABR), and closed-circuit reverse osmosis (CCRO) systems).
